Lead Teacher at the St Peter’s Musical Theatre Academy

I am very excited to announce that in addition to working with private clients, I have accepted the role of Lead Teacher for the newly formed St Peter’s Musical Theatre Academy.

The Musical Theatre Academy is unique and highly specialised, providing students with intensive vocational training outside of academic classes. Lead by a team of highly experienced theatre practitioners, the academy will work to develop students into highly skilled triple threat performers.

I am delighted to be joining my colleagues Julia Booth (Vocal Consultant), Michaela Gilling (Dance Teacher and Choreographer), David Sidwell (Academy Advisor).

My role includes developing a course in acting that meets the unique demands of musical theatre, vocal teaching as part of the school voice faculty, and directing a showcase performance that demonstrates the students’ learning and outstanding talent. It is the perfect creative intersection of the singing, acting and directing backgrounds that I draw from when working with private students.

Auditions for this competetive programme take place later this week, and while I’m sure there will be some difficult decisions involved I can’t wait to launch this ground breaking Academy!
