Teens Acting Techniques
3 Day Workshop
13-15 January 2025, Hamilton NZ
Immerse yourself in acting.
Â
Step into a space where your passion for acting is celebrated, fostered, and shared by everyone around you. Over three transformative days, you’ll immerse yourself in practical acting techniques that inspire confidence, connection, and joy in your acting.
This 3-day workshop is perfect for teenage actors who love drama and performance and want to take their skills to the next level. Whether that’s performing lead roles, auditioning for drama school, landing parts in theatre, film or TV, or simply creating spellbinding performances and being the best actor they can be.
It’s also an ideal learning opportunity for singers and dancers who want to develop the confidence and skills to bring authenticity and storytelling to your performances.
Learn by Doing.
Our motto for all of our classes and workshops!
Each day you’ll be up on your feet - making, playing, exploring, challenging and laughing with a great group of new friends who share your passion for performance. They just get it.Â
Together, you’ll dive into improvisation and bring scripts from film, TV and theatre to life.Â
You’ll sharpen your Actor’s Tools—
- Voice
- Body
- And Imagination
You’ll explore the timeless methods of Stanislavski to make text come alive in the moment and play with innovative tools for connection and freedom, crafted by renowned film and TV acting coach Miranda Harcourt.
And through it all you’ll feel yourself become more comfortable in your own skin, finding more ease and play in your acting (and in your days!)

I loved this workshop so much.
Everyone there is there for the same reasons as you and it's a great environment to feel you can give 100% and not be judged.

Â
What This Workshop Stands ForÂ

Â
What this workshop is not about:
Tearing you down, harsh criticism, or toxic competition.
Instead, it’s built on kindness, support, and the belief that when we cheer each other on, we all rise together.

Before starting this course I was nervous that I wouldn't let loose or feel comfortable enough take risks with my acting.
But after the first exercise I felt like I had found a group of people who were just like me and shared the same the passion for acting that I do.
The course allowed me to have an eye-opening and transformational time.

Â
I was nervous coming into the course, not knowing who I’d know and having never worked with Scot before, but he created such a welcoming and safe environment that we all became quickly comfortable being vulnerable around each other
I loved his ability to get his points across clearly and in ways that are easy to understand and apply... I left feeling more confident in my acting and how I perform.

One of my favourite memories was how close we got during the workshop and how sad it was saying goodbye to everyone on the last day.
By the end of the workshop I was excited to push my acting limits through the roof.

The best part about this course was meeting so many other passionate actors, and getting to work alongside them in all different aspects of acting (script work, monologues, film scripts etc).
I didn’t have much confidence in my acting when I arrived on the first day, but when I left on the last, it feels like I now have so many little skills or tools up my sleeve in order to create a truly natural performance.
There was a moment where I was pushed totally out of my comfort zone, and once I was everything just seemed to click. I will never forget that moment.
My favourite thing that I’ve learned is to make every performance real, true and natural - you don’t have to act for the audience but just act for yourself and be present in the moment; your intention will be conveyed more significantly.
If you’re wanting to be an actor, a director, a playwright, a musical theatre performer, a movie/TV star or anything in between - this course is for you.
