Does your child have a wonderful imagination?

Kids Musical Theatre is a class for 9-12 year-olds who come alive when they are acting out skits, making up dances, singing songs and telling stories.

In this warm and inclusive class the students explore the magical world of musical theatre through games, exercises and mini performances. They develop the fundamental skills of singing, dancing and acting using age-appropriate songs from Broadway musicals.

The focus is on play and self expression in a positive space that encourages friendship, belonging and inner confidence.

The goal of Kids Musical Theatre is to fuel the students’ passion for performing and discover talents that perhaps they didn't even know they have! We want to give our MT Kids the confidence to share their talents and embrace their quirks, gifts and creative ideas.

Family and friends are invited to a special combined showcase performance with the Kids, Teens and Adults Musical Theatre Classes in Term 3 at the Academy of Peforming Arts. (Check out some photos and videos from past showcases below!)

He has taught, performed and directed musicals throughout New Zealand for over 10 years, and particularly enjoys helping young performers build confidence and self-esteem through theatre.

Alexa’s favourite part of the week is attending Scot’s singing class!

In only 6 months with Scot her singing has come a long way. She understands how to best use her voice and further it’s ignited her love of music and performance.

Thank you Scot!
