What Makes This Class Special Â
Â
In Teens Acting Class we focus on Connection First.
Each session starts with a Check-in where we share a highlight from the week or something we’re looking forward to. Friendships bloom quickly, and mutual kindness, trust and respect are built session by session.
Our philosophy for all of our classes is to Learn By Doing. “You learn to do this thing… by doing the thing!”
You’ll explore your craft through fun projects that will extend your strengths and develop your skills in characterisation, script work, improv, voice, movement, and authenticity.
We show our work. We share our messy first drafts. We embrace imperfection and inspire one another by letting people see our works in progress, not just our highlight reel.
This class is not about becoming perfect performing robots or avoiding mistakes at all costs.
Instead we celebrate the joy and playfulness and humanity in bringing all of yourself to your performing. And as a result we see much faster improvement, with more enjoyment and unselfconsciousness along the way.
This class builds your confidence in being completely yourself as you move through your performing arts journey.
Rosalie
Before starting this course I was nervous that I wouldn't let loose or feel comfortable enough take risks with my acting.
But after the first exercise I felt like I had found a group of people who were just like me and shared the same the passion for acting that I do.
